This special treat is like cobbler and coffee cake wrapped up with wonderful cream cheese filling.

  • 2/3 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • 1 egg
  • ½ c. milk
  • 3 tbsp. melted butter
  • 2½ c. sliced peaches

Cream Filling:

  • ½ c. sugar
  • 6 oz. cream cheese
  • 3 tbsp. reserved peach juice

Topping:

  • 1 tbsp. sugar
  • ½ tsp. cinnamon

Directions:

Mix flour, baking powder and salt. Add egg, milk and butter then beat for 2 minutes.
Pour into well-greased 8 or 9-inch round pan.
Drain peaches, reserving juice.  Arrange peaches over top of batter.
Cream together filling ingredients, then spoon over peaches.
Sprinkle sugar mixture on top and bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.
